Some Local Love...

For all things hair related, check out Evolution Salon & Spa in North Cape May.   I've been a patron since they opened, but I've known some of the great people who do their work there for years.  It almost doesn't matter who you see while you are there, everyone who works at Evolution does a wonderful job.

I've know the owner, Holly, for years and she always does a great job.  The environment is relaxed and the atmosphere is calming.  Its a great place for a wedding hairdo or just an everyday cut.

They often run special promotions and do offer massages and nail services.  You really can't go wrong.  Give them a try!

Fit for a Grand Occasion

In the last few months, I've gone to a few events at the Grand Hotel in Cape May.  I'm always greeted with a friendly smile.  The event coordinators are fantastic.  They are always happy and know their stuff.

The events that I've gone to have been on the 5th floor of the hotel.  There are separate areas for the cocktail hour and reception.  The ballroom takes up most of the 5th floor and can be scaled to fit the event.  The decor is great but one of the most amazing features is the view! The beach front location overlooks the ocean and really isn't to be missed!

Continuing to impress is the food.  The last event I attended was a tasting.  The in-house catering was beyond belief.  The salmon, the crab-cakes, the filet mignon, stuffed-flounder- all out of this world!  This isn't surprising as The Grand Hotel is home to E.M. Hemingway's, which is one of Cape May's best steak and seafood restaurants.

From what I've seen, the Grand is definitely worth checking out.

A trend or just trending

With each new season, there are new trends.  Some are fads while others stand the test of time.  How can you tell what will be around in another ten years and what will be embarrassing to look back on?  (Who remembers the big hair craze of the 1980's?)  Thousands of wedding photos show that hair spray was the most popular thing in the decade.  The 1990's had all their own issues.  Most of the embarrassing stuff is hidden from the wedding photos though.  A pretty white dress never seems to go out of style.  Men's suits and tuxedos can only get so wild.  Its kind of a built-in safeguard.  As time goes on, tastes change with the seasons.

But having a good time never goes out of style.  I say go for it.  Whatever seems fun, whatever makes you happy, just go for it.  You only get one wedding day.  Put your mark on it.

We'll film it.

You can judge the styles later.  Just stay away from the bleached eyebrow look.
