A fighter’s chance, the idea that anyone despite the longest of odds has a chance to win. This concept, coupled with the hope that sheer will and determination can overcome one’s physical limitations, leads an audience to root for the underdog. The underdog serves as a representative of the blue-collar worker the common man/woman.

Ali reveals the personal trials and tribulations of the charismatic boxer as he rides a wave of professional/personal victories and defeats. Incorporating historic moments while also displaying insight to the religious transition he undertook and the controversy it fueled.
Million Dollar Baby – A boxing film that steps away from the traditional outlook highlighting the unlikely union of an elder trainer (Eastwood) and a female pugilistic pupil (Swank). With a behind the scenes approach that showcases the cultivation of a fighter trainer-relationship that transforms into a father/ daughter-esque situation. Million Dollar Baby takes two strong-willed loners and unites them in the fight for their careers and ultimately their lives.
Cinderella Man – A blue- collar worker/boxer James Braddock rises amongst the demoralizing economic devastation of the Great Depression to fight for the heavy weight crown ultimately overcoming the odds against Max Baer and winning the title while setting an excellent example of the power of hard work and perseverance in the process
The Fighter – Mickey Ward battles a turbulent family dynamic which has created personal doubt about his abilities as a boxer beating long odds and setbacks to eventually win the welterweight title and endear himself to the boxing community.
